Editorial Policy for Life Science Daily News

Effective Date: 28 September 2026 V2

1. Our editorial standards
Life Science Daily News covers biotech, pharma, health technology, regulatory affairs, clinical trials and the business of life sciences. All content published on this site, regardless of who wrote it, is reviewed by the LSDN editorial team before publication. We apply a consistent standard: content must be accurate, clearly attributed, and labelled in a way that is transparent about any commercial relationship behind it.

For press releases, this review covers suitability and appropriateness for our audience. It does not constitute independent verification of the factual claims made by the issuing organisation, as noted in our press release disclaimer below.

Links
Links in content published on Life Science Daily News must point to relevant sources or references and must not point to unlawful, misleading or harmful material. Our editors review all links and may add, amend or remove them at editorial review.

Links in paid content (Professional, Single Feature, Press Release and Pulse) carry the rel=“sponsored” attribute, in line with search engine guidance for paid content.

Links in Explorer articles carry the rel=“nofollow” attribute.

Links in LSDN Editorial Team articles, and links between our own pages, are standard editorial links. We do not sell links, or accept payment to place links, in any content.

Use of AI
We use AI tools to support our editorial work. This includes checking spelling, grammar, formatting and consistency, helping with research and source checking, and assisting with research for articles published under the LSDN Editorial Team byline.

Every article is reviewed, verified and edited by a member of our editorial team before publication. Editorial decisions, including what we publish and how it is presented, are made by our editorial team and not by an AI tool. We remain responsible for everything we publish.

Some images used to illustrate our articles are generated or edited using AI tools. Photographs of real people, products and events are sourced and credited in the usual way.

Contributor submissions are not used to train AI models, and we do not permit our providers to do so. Our Contributor Policy sets out what contributors may and may not do when using AI tools.

2. Explorer contributor content
Explorer is a free contributor plan open to professionals with relevant knowledge or experience in the life science sector. It is designed to give independent voices a platform to share insight, analysis, and commentary with the Life Science Daily News audience.

Explorer articles are predominantly written by scientists, researchers, and academics writing about their own area of expertise, though contributors from other professional backgrounds are also considered where the topic and their suitability are appropriate. The author’s name, organisation, credentials, and professional biography are submitted alongside the article. The published piece carries an author and company byline, with an author bio. While prior engagement with Life Science Daily News is not a requirement, we welcome conversations with contributors before submission to discuss the topic, credentials, and suitability for the platform. Every Explorer submission is reviewed by the LSDN editorial team prior to publication to ensure it meets our non-promotional standard.

Explorer articles carry an ‘Independent Contributor’ label to distinguish them from LSDN Editorial Team articles and do not carry commercial or sponsored content labels.

3. Commercial content: Partner Content and Press Release
Life Science Daily News offers three paid content formats: Professional, Single Feature and Press Release. All articles published on or after 1 July 2026 carry a content label so readers can identify the type of content they are reading. Professional, Single Feature and Pulse content is labelled ‘Partner Content’, while press releases carry a ‘Press Release’ label.

The distinction between Professional and Single Feature is straightforward: Professional is an ongoing subscription plan, while a Single Feature is a one-off contribution. For both formats, while prior engagement with Life Science Daily News is not a requirement, we welcome conversations with contributors before submission to discuss the topic, credentials, and suitability for the platform. The author’s name, credentials, and professional biography are submitted alongside the article, and articles carry an author and company byline, with an author bio:

Written by:
[Author Name]
On behalf of:
[Organisation Name]

Professional member content
An ongoing subscription plan for those wishing to publish regularly on Life Science Daily News. Professional members may also submit press releases, which count toward their monthly allowance, are labelled ‘Press Release’ and carry the press release disclaimer in place of the standard footer disclaimer.
Withdrawn plans: plans that are withdrawn from sale are no longer available to new members, and continue on their existing terms for current members until cancelled, as set out in our Terms and Conditions. Content published under a withdrawn plan follows the same rules as Professional content. Pulse is currently the only withdrawn plan.

Single Feature
A one-off paid contribution from an external author. Single Features are written by contributors with relevant knowledge of the topic covered. Each Single Feature receives editorial polish before publication: we edit for clarity, structure, house style and search optimisation, including headlines, subheadings and page metadata. The accuracy of the claims made remains the contributor’s responsibility.

Press release
Organisational documents issued directly by companies, clearly labelled ‘Press Release’ with a prominent banner at the top of the page and attributed to the issuing organisation, with its logo.

4. Content disclaimers
All articles carry a standard footer disclaimer. Press releases are the only exception, retaining their own article-level disclaimer.

Standard footer disclaimer: Explorer, Professional, Single Feature, Pulse and LSDN Editorial Team
“All content is published for informational purposes only and does not constitute medical, legal, or investment advice. For more information, see our Terms and Conditions.”

Article-level disclaimer: Press Release
“This is a company announcement published as received. The content has not been independently verified by Life Science Daily News.”

Conflict of interest
Where the LSDN editorial team determines that a contributor has a direct commercial interest in the specific subject matter of their article, a conflict of interest note will be added alongside the standard footer disclaimer. This is applied at editorial review as part of our standard editorial process. Placement of a conflict of interest note is an editorial decision. Where an article already carries a ‘Partner Content’ or ‘Press Release’ label, that label discloses the commercial relationship and a separate conflict of interest note is not normally added. We may still add one where there is a material interest that the label alone does not make clear.

5. LSDN Editorial Team
Articles produced by the LSDN Editorial Team are published under the LSDN Editorial Team byline. No content label is applied to LSDN Editorial Team articles.

6. Corrections and updates
We are committed to correcting errors promptly and transparently. If a factual error is identified after publication, we will update the article and, where we believe it is appropriate to do so, will note the correction at the bottom of the page, including the date of the amendment.
To report an error or request a correction, please contact us at info@lifesciencedaily.news
